"Purpurni vek" is the first book of the trilogy about the Dukajs.
The action takes place in Europe around 1848 and follows the story of two brothers from Hungary who are completely politically and ideologically different: Dali Dukaj is an ardent lover of freedom, while Antal Dukaj is a conservative bureaucrat.
At the center of the plot is a young woman, Siena, who lives in a dangerous and unstable environment marked by violence and conflicts between people eager for power and wealth.
