Oganj

Henri Barbusse

Henri Barbusse was a French novelist, journalist and communist activist. He gained fame with the novel Le Feu published in 1916, which was based on his experiences in the First World War.

It was one of the first books that condemned militarism and presented the horrors of war in a completely naturalistic way. Despite the criticism, the book won the prestigious Prix Goncourt.
