Sklonište sa neba je kultni roman koji je 1949. godine objavio američki pisac i kompozitor Pol Bouls – na osnovu kojeg je B. Bertoluči snimio popularni Čaj u Sahari sa Džonom Malkovičem u glavnoj ulozi.

Reč je o bestseleru koji je odavno slavljen i kod kritike i kod javnosti, a koji su čitave škole, predvođene bitnicima – Barouzom, Ginsbergom, Keruakom – utkale u temelj svoje poetike, a Boulsa ustoličili kao svojevrsni duhovni otac. Bouls, koji je dobar deo svog života proveo u severnoj Africi, napisao je u ovoj, kao i u drugim svojim knjigama, bezvremensku odu pustinji i nežni lament za „pustinjom kakva je nekada bila“.

Njegovi protagonisti, mladi, emotivno i seksualno otuđeni njujorški par Port i Kit, u Afriku stižu u pratnji svog prijatelja Tunera, sa potpuno drugačijim očekivanjima od putovanja. Port, klasični egzistencijalistički antiheroj, traži rešenje za neutemeljenost sopstvene egzistencije u već neutemeljenom posleratnom svetu u pustinji, Kit se nada njihovom ponovnom okupljanju, a Taner je najbliži američkom turisti. Njihovo putovanje će se takođe završiti potpuno drugačijim ishodom za svakog od njih. Reći više bi ozbiljno ugrozilo zadovoljstvo čitanja; čista i nepatvorena.
