Duh u močvari

Duh u močvari

Anto Gardaš

Ghost in the Swamp is a children's novel written in 1989, filled with intrigue, adventure and children's resourcefulness, just like descriptions of the beautiful winter idyll in the areas of Kopački rit.

In the center of the plot are the brother and sister, Miron and Melita, already well-known heroes of Gardaš's novels, and their mutual friend Eucalyptus. During the winter holidays, Miron and Melita go to visit Eucalyptus, whose family has moved to Kopački rit. Everything is covered with snow and temperatures are getting lower, which means that the fate of many animals depends precisely on the inhabitants of Kopačevo. The three friends immediately get involved in the action of delivering food to the nearby islands, Crna Greda and Poljane, so that many animals, such as roe deer, foxes and rabbits, can survive the winter. However, the animals are threatened by another danger, namely poachers who stop at nothing to earn money on meat. It is Miron, Melita and Eucalyptus who find the first traces of the poachers' activities, which will eventually lead them to the main culprit.
