Hrvatski duh Alke: simbolika i filozofija hrvatske povijesti

Hrvatski duh Alke: simbolika i filozofija hrvatske povijesti

Petar Vučić

Through Sinj's Alka, the entirety of the Croatian ethnic and ethical being is encompassed.

When we observe Alka as an event, the image of Alka as a staged historical drama unfolds on two levels: on the level of the Alkar in the scene of the Alkar order of battle, and on the level of the Alkar boys in the scene of the Alkar boy order of battle. As such, it has all the elements of a battle that, repeating itself three times, perpetuates itself into war. Therefore, it is not a one-time war campaign that ends in victory and war celebration, but a never-ending war made up of successive victories.
