Mala sirena

Mala sirena

The Little Mermaid is a famous fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen that talks about love, sacrifice and longing for something unattainable.

The little mermaid, the youngest daughter of the sea king, lives in an underwater kingdom. Intrigued by the human world, she dreams of a life beyond the sea. On his 15th birthday, he comes to the surface and observes the ship on which the prince is. A storm sinks the ship, and she rescues the prince, leaving him on the shore. The prince never finds out who saved him.

In love with the prince, the little mermaid makes a deal with the sea witch. She surrenders her voice in exchange for her legs, but with a condition – if the prince does not fall in love with her and marry her, she will turn into sea foam. The mermaid comes to land and becomes close to the prince, but he falls in love with another girl, believing that she saved him.

In the end, the little mermaid is faced with a difficult decision. Her sisters offer her a knife with which she can kill the prince in order to return to the sea. However, the mermaid refuses to harm the prince and decides to be the victim. She turns into sea foam, but her pure soul becomes part of the heavenly spirits.

This touching story carries a message about selfless love and sacrifice.
