Starorječje
"Starorječje" is a collection of poems by Sara Hižman, published in 2023 by the Student Council of the University of Zadar.
This collection, awarded the Slavić Award for best debut, reflects the author's connection to her native region between the Mura and Drava rivers, whose landscape and Kajkavian dialect are the main inspiration for her work. The poetry in "Starorječje" is permeated with motifs of homeland, nature and tradition, providing readers with an insight into the richness and beauty of Kajkavian cultural heritage.
