With the exception of the crime novels "The Last Journey to Vienna" and "Death Comes with the Sun", this book contains Irena Vrkljan's autobiographical prose: "Letters to a Young Woman", "Our Loves, Our Illnesses" and "Green Socks". In these works too, the author presents herself as a narrator with a distinct tension for depicting the inner world, retrospection, and self-examination.
