Zagor LU #300: Među ledenjacima sjevera
Zagor joins a mission to rescue a ship trapped in Arctic ice, unaware that a traitor among the rescuers has been tasked with sabotaging the expedition.
Među ledenjacima sjevera (Among the Northern Ice) takes Zagor to Baffin Island with a rescue expedition aboard the sailing ship Sea Rider. Their objective is to assist Captain Forman’s Freedom, which has spent the entire winter trapped in the ice. The voyage from Newfoundland becomes a struggle to reach people cut off from the outside world.
Yet the polar environment is not the expedition’s only danger. A traitor has joined the rescuers with orders to sabotage their mission. While the crew must cooperate to help those in peril, someone within their own ranks is working against them. Trust becomes as essential as endurance and seamanship.
Moreno Burattini combines a maritime rescue adventure with the suspense of concealed sabotage. In such an isolated setting, small decisions can have serious consequences, and an apparent accident may hide deliberate interference. Zagor must confront a human threat within an undertaking already made hazardous by its surroundings.
Roberto Piere illustrates the ships and frozen landscape, giving the adventure its polar setting. Continuing the events of Newfoundland, this middle chapter develops a rescue story in which an unforgiving environment and betrayal from within threaten the same fragile undertaking.
