Pepeljuga, Kuća malena, Pedro

Pepeljuga, Kuća malena, Pedro

Walt Disney

All three stories are gentle, educational, and have a happy ending – ideal for children aged 4–10.

  • Cinderella

A classic fairy tale by Charles Perrault in the 1950 Disney version. A beautiful and kind girl, Cinderella, lives as a servant to her cruel stepmother and two evil stepsisters. Despite her suffering, she remains kind and hopeful. Her kind fairy godmother casts a spell on her to allow her to attend a royal ball, where the prince falls in love with her. The spell expires at midnight, and Cinderella loses her glass slipper while running away. The prince finds Cinderella by the slipper, and they get married and live happily ever after.

  • Pedro (from the film Saludos Amigos, 1942)

A short animated film within the “Saludos Amigos” package film. Pedro is a small anthropomorphic mail plane from Chile. His parents are large mail planes, and it is his first day on the job – he has to fly over the dangerous Andes and deliver a letter to the Argentine city of Mendoza. He encounters a storm, high mountains and the formidable Aconcagua, which "smokes". Pedro almost crashes, runs out of fuel, but with courage and cunning he manages to deliver the mail and return home as a hero.

  • The Little House

A short animated film from 1952, based on the picture book of the same name by Virginia Lee Burton (awarded the Caldecott Medal). A little pink house stands happily on a hill in the middle of nature. The owner promises her that he will never tear it down. Years pass, the city expands, the house remains neglected amidst noisy skyscrapers, roads and pollution. She becomes sad and almost forgotten. In the end, the grandson of the great-great-owner recognizes her, transports her to a new hill in the country, restores her and she becomes happy again.
