Družba Pere Kvržice
The Company of Pero Kvržica is one of Mate Lovrak's best-known novels. The plot begins with a depiction of a typical morning at Pero's family.
Pero is portrayed as a cheerful boy full of life and ideas. It is he who comes up with the idea to repair the village mill. Namely, the night before, he overheard his parents discussing the old village mill that was falling apart. Pero then gathers his friends around him into a small group that embarks on a secret operation, cleaning and restoring the mill.
