"A Lump of Sun" (1965) by Zaim Topčić is a novel that depicts broader social and wartime circumstances through the fate of an individual.
The story is set during World War II and the aftermath, and follows the life of the main character as he faces violence, injustice, and difficult life choices. Through his experiences, it depicts the everyday life of ordinary people in wartime conditions, as well as the moral dilemmas brought about by the struggle for survival.
