A BRAVE NEW WORLD: eseji o američkoj književnosti XX i XXI stoljeća

Zvonimir Radeljković

Zvonimir Radeljković's book helps in understanding recent American creativity, but also literature in general, and the human being himself, as well as the world of reality.

"A brave new world: Essays on American literature of the 20th and 21st centuries" is a collection of sixteen essays on American authors, literary works and cultural topics related to the second half of the twentieth and first decades of the current century, with which Zvonimir Radeljković creatively rounds off and enriches his literary-critical, but also professorial-lecturing oeuvre, and after "American Themes", a collection of essays on representative names and themes of American literature of the 19th and early of the 20th century, in a broad erudite sweep shows how selected contemporary American writers, essayists and publicists from the 1940s to the present day described the state of the American spirit in an age of increasingly serious political, sociological, economic, or specifically artistic, challenges and dilemmas of our time.
