Maddie Dawson

After the collapse of her two-week marriage, Marnie inherits the house of her unusual great-aunt and her "projects" - eccentric neighbors, discovering the power of true love.

The novel "Love Mediation for Beginners" by Maddie Dawson is a charming, witty and emotional story about the unpredictable ways of the heart, self-examination and breaking down one's own prejudices.

The main character, Marnie MacGraw, just wanted an ordinary, quiet life in the suburbs with her husband and children. But her carefully arranged world crumbles after only two weeks of marriage, when she realizes that she married the wrong man. Before her life was turned upside down, Marnie met Blix Holliday, her ex-husband's wayward and quirky great-aunt who specializes in matchmaking.

Although they had known each other for a very short time, Blix recognized Marnie as the heir to her unusual gift. After her death, the eccentric aunt leaves Marnie her old house in Brooklyn, but also all her unfinished "projects" - a motley group of unhappy neighbors and friends who are running away from love and happiness. Taking care of the house and its residents, Marnie embarks on a journey full of humorous situations, unexpected realizations and personal growth. As he tries to help others, he will learn the most important lesson: love is often hard to recognize, and those who push it away the most actually need it the most.

This warm and optimistic book celebrates life in all its complexity and reminds us that true love is not an insurance policy against loneliness, but the force that moves the entire universe.
