Gambit travels to Golden Island, an island on the Ohio River whose gambling houses attract gunmen and adventurers. Hidden within this settlement, known as the city of sin, is a man she has been seeking for a long time. His identity is mysterious, but Gambit knows exactly why she wants to settle their old score.
Gambit i osveta puts the spotlight on the resourceful professional gambler and courageous adventurer. Zagor once again stands beside his friend, but this time the reason for their shared struggle lies in her personal history.
Jacopo Rauch explores part of Gambit’s past, including a love affair with a sheriff that ended tragically. Her search through the island’s gambling establishments becomes a revenge drama, with present actions driven by a loss that has never been forgotten.
Massimo Pesce’s artwork, coloured by GFB Comics, follows an adventure in which the gambling world replaces the forest wilderness. The episode will appeal to Gambit’s readers and to those who enjoy stories giving Zagor’s familiar allies their own motives, histories and central roles.
