Kraljevina Jugoslavija za četvrti razred građanskih škola trgovinskog smjera

T. Radivojević

The textbook provides an overview of the natural, economic and transport characteristics of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia and introduces students to regional differences, trade relations and the economic significance of individual regions of the country.

Kingdom of Yugoslavia for the fourth grade of civic schools of the commercial direction by T. Radivojević is a school textbook intended for students of the final grade of civic schools who were educated for work in trade and economy. The book is distinguished by rich visual equipment: 75 photographs, sketches, maps and diagrams in the text and one color board with a picture of Dubrovnik.

The content of the textbook includes the natural features of the country, population distribution, economic resources, agricultural production, industrial centers, transport networks and trade connections between regions. Through an overview of individual provinces, students learned about their economic peculiarities, main products and importance in the overall development of the country. Special emphasis was placed on understanding trade and economic connections of different regions of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia.

The material is organized in a clear manner and adapted to the teaching needs of the commercial direction. Maps, statistical presentations and illustrations helped students understand spatial and economic relations and connect theoretical knowledge with the practical needs of their future profession.

In addition to its educational function, the book also had a broader educational role, as it sought to provide students with a comprehensive picture of the country, its natural resources, and development opportunities. Today, it represents a valuable source for studying education, economic geography, and educational goals in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia on the eve of World War II.
