Grains of sand on the shores of eternity is a collection of autobiographical stories by the Russian-Croatian writer Natalija Vorobjova Hržić.
The story is told through the eyes of narrator Kenneth Trachtenberg, a 35-year-old assistant professor of Russian literature, born in Paris, but now living in the Midwest of the USA.
The central theme of the novel is the relationship between a man and a woman, that is, love, and also communication between people.
