Garavi sokak: veselo cigansko vašarište sa nekoliko suza i kapi kiše

Miroslav Antić

Miroslav Antić dedicates this book to the young gypsy Mile Dileja, who was taken by the fascists one night and shot. He was buried in 1942 near Pancevo in the common grave of nameless victims.

This is why this romantic hymn about a man among the stars is constantly echoing and with the sound of singing against genocide.

Garavi sokak is a smoldering wreath of images about growing up and too rich poverty, about painful happiness and swallowing fate, about the alchemy of sadness and cosmic joy. Rich in poignant lyrical works, this is a unique collection of the original poet's oeuvre.
