This corps gained fame and respect from its enemies, and Rommel was nicknamed the "Desert Fox". The book provides an insight into the origin and operation of this military formation, and also deals with the technical aspects of fighting in desert conditions. Erwin Rommel, as a military leader, became famous for his skill and courage during World War II. His tactics and strategies left a deep mark on the history of warfare.
