Alan Ford Klasik #39: Dobra stara vremena
Alan and Bob were sent on a mission to the foreign legion, and the old warrior Grunf came to their aid, but he got lost in the desert. Sheik Tela Fa wants to start a war and they try to stop him. And it is about the looted gold that is kept in the fortres
This is one of those episodes where every scene is done to the maximum, maybe drama and humor have never been expressed better at the same time, really fantastic... Great story. Magnus and Bunker satirically portrayed the foreign legion, known for the organization, discipline, skills of its members, etc. It is likely that this was the reason why readers in the former Yugoslavia could not read this episode for a long time, because such a presentation could damage the reputation of the then third strongest military power in Europe. Unusual for a comic such as Alan Ford is the presence of a large number of characters: Sheik Tela Fa, Major Loutrec, Mark Lester, Sir Sterling (Brenda's father), Brenda... And everything is brilliantly integrated into one whole, from the first page to the last the action is dynamic, and the atmosphere and location of the event enhance the experience. According to many, the best episode of Alan Ford.
