Oskar Herman (1886–1974) was a Croatian-Jewish painter. He was one of the group of Croatian artists known as the Munich Circle, who had a strong influence on modern art in Croatia.
The book presents Švajcer's entire bibliography and a selection of his published and unpublished texts (e.g. texts on Krunoslav Kern; Branko Kovačević; Osijek painting between the two wars; Antun Babić as a graphic artist, etc.).
Each volume is usually hardbound and contains color illustrations depicting biblical scenes, with texts taken from the Bible and accompanied by analyses of the artwork.
