Oskar Herman (1886–1974) was a Croatian-Jewish painter. He was one of the group of Croatian artists known as the Munich Circle, who had a strong influence on modern art in Croatia.
As a whole, the book presents an authoritative interpretation of Koydl's oeuvre, highlighting his enduring value in Croatian modern and contemporary art.
The monograph presents the most precious works from the collection of the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, which was opened in 1902 and was initiated by the Frenchman Auguste Mariette.
