(Dis)kontinuiteti ili ponavljanje povijesti
This work presents current dilemmas and questions related to the (re)construction of the history and ideology of identity, both individually and on a comparative level regarding the so-called small nations, as special sociocultural groups.
The focus of the book is the questioning of the ideological foundations and recurrent processes of the structure of the national-historical identity; critical redefinition of its historical creation and developmental changes that influenced the value reception of the multipolar (plural) identitarian tradition. (...) The book deals with current and acute topics, processes and dilemmas of the Croatian ideological-political and cultural context, which (inevitably) includes significant aspects and conflicting experiences from the shared ex- and post-Yugoslav history, as well as numerous examples of mutual cultural contacts and fruitful intersections (first of all, with the Macedonian situation and the so-called Macedonian "question", which is not surprising, given that the author of the book is a prominent Macedonian by his subspecialist vocation).
Zlatko Kramarić writes with passion. However, he writes with the aim of being read and understood, and at the same time he directs his topics and his writing style not only towards the scientific community from the social-humanistic field, but also towards all those whose scientific research focus is critical reflection and research of contemporary and eternally ill topic. Due to the author's approach and way of writing, this book will be useful not only to students, scientists, politically responsible persons, but also to all those who are interested in the values of peace, reconciliation, truth, freedom and tolerance.
