Why is the poetry of Ivana Bodrožić, when it appears, always a celebration in our little literature? Because with each new book, he raises the bar for the quality of poetic expression and attracts new readers.

Warming up is a collection that has nothing to do with summer, nor with heat at all, but with the state in which life - the life of a woman - found itself at one moment. And if we tried to understand the conditions that lead to this glow, we would understand that it came about due to the braking and freezing of the relationship between the world and the subject, who after a new awakening tries to understand the essence of this paradoxical process. From such poetic contemplation comes poetry that concerns us, calls for compassion, that we want to read again and keep close to us, reminding us that we cannot rationalize life. This is precisely why there is no place for cynicism in these songs, but for the willingness to embrace life, to laugh, argue, and grieve.

Ivana Bodrožić writes without hesitation about her fears and struggles, dealing with the topics of love, sexuality and motherhood, allowing the woman to exist in all possible dimensions. It is exactly that point of incandescence; everyday, but exceptional, immersed in moving, repairs and craftsmen, able to hold the reins of life in her hands and aware of other people's needs, as well as her own. Witnessing at the same time the strength and vulnerability of everything around us, in every verse she is a friend who openly invites: Between two harshnesses / Save that life.
