Zagor Lu #158: Na tragu neprijatelja
Zagor, Chico and Denise reach Veracruz to rescue Jean Lafitte, while their enemies’ trail points towards a lost city and ancient treasure in Yucatán.
Na tragu neprijatelja takes Zagor and Chico to Mexico alongside Denise Lafitte. Her father Jean has been imprisoned on charges of supplying weapons to rebels, and she intends to secure his release. Their arrival in Veracruz begins a new stage of an adventure shaped by personal loyalties and dangerous interests.
Meanwhile, Zagor seeks Richter and Velasquez. Their search for a lost city and ancient treasure draws the action towards Yucatán. Rescuing a prisoner and tracking enemies become connected objectives, while the promise of riches conceals more sinister intentions.
Moreno Burattini combines criminal intrigue with the tradition of lost-civilisation adventures. Mysterious warriors, human sacrifice and preparations for an uprising give the search a threatening background. Treasure is only part of the stakes: Zagor must discover who is directing events and what their plans could mean for the surrounding population.
Gallieno Ferri illustrates the transition from a bustling port towards an unknown interior. The Mexican setting, pursuit and mounting danger drive an instalment linking Podzemlje New Orleansa with the next chapter, U džungli Yucatana.
