Zagor LU #345: Dobrodošli u Heavenwood
A massacre in a woodland cabin leads Zagor to Heavenwood, a seemingly peaceful town whose respectable inhabitants conceal dangerous secrets.
Dobrodošli u Heavenwood opens with a bloody crime in an isolated woodland cabin. Zagor arrives in time to hear a victim’s dying warning, pointing him towards someone in nearby Heavenwood. Seeking answers, he enters a community whose inhabitants initially appear decent and welcoming.
Beneath that reassuring surface, threats and contradictions begin to emerge. The town’s respectable image becomes part of the mystery, leaving Zagor to decide whom he can trust. His search for those responsible develops into a dangerous investigation where questions may be answered with bullets.
Tito Faraci constructs a crime western around the tension between public reputation and concealed violence. Rather than confronting an immediately identifiable enemy, Zagor must understand a community’s relationships and interests before he can make sense of the danger. Marcello Mangiantini illustrates the shifts between conversation, suspicion and action.
Small-town secrets and deceptive appearances shape the opening of this three-part adventure. The story continues in Ludens #346, Nitko nije nedužan, and concludes in #347, Vukovi i janjad.
