Mister No SD #15: Patagonija

Mister No SD #15: Patagonija

Luigi Mignacco

Mister No and the mysterious journalist Parker pursue robbers across Patagonia while the police pursue them. Their trail leads through places linked to the legendary Butch Cassidy.

In Patagonija, Mister No continues pursuing three bank robbers who escaped aboard his aircraft. His companion is Parker, an unusual journalist researching Butch Cassidy’s life. Their pursuit takes them through landscapes associated with the famous outlaw, while the police complicate matters by treating them as accomplices.

The hunters become the hunted, and questions about Parker’s past accompany their journey. Robertson, the gang’s leader, claims to be Cassidy’s son and seeks to draw upon the prestige of that legendary name. Jerry must deal with the consequences of his actions while wondering how much his travelling companion really knows.

Luigi Mignacco combines a crime adventure with Western themes of outlaw fame, inheritance and the distance between legend and reality. Patagonia evokes the lingering frontier, giving the pursuit a setting shaped by memories of an earlier age. Roberto Diso’s artwork brings together expansive landscapes and tense encounters. The attraction of the outlaw legend gives the adventure a further layer beyond its chase. This issue concludes the two-part story begun in Legenda o Butchu Cassidyju, making the preceding volume its natural companion.
