Franjo Durst, Croatian gynecologist and obstetrician (Zagreb, 6 September 1875 – Zagreb, 16 September 1958). Having completed his medical studies in Graz (1899), from 1905 he was a professor at the Zagreb Midwifery College and head of the National Maternity Hospital, which he transformed into the Clinic for Gynecological Diseases and Obstetrics in 1921 and headed until 1952. He was a full professor at the Faculty of Medicine in Zagreb and a full member of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts.
