Mali junak i druge priče

Mali junak i druge priče

Marko Orešković

The title story, "The Little Hero," is about a boy who shows courage and awareness in difficult wartime circumstances – a typical example of literature that celebrates moral virtues and resistance during wartime.

Marko Orešković (1895–1941) was a Croatian writer, political activist, and national hero. In addition to his anti-fascist work, he also wrote prose, mostly socially engaged. This collection of stories was published posthumously, after his death in World War II.
