Savršena komedija

Savršena komedija

Cora Carmack

This romantic comedy, the second in the Losing It series, explores how a fake relationship can become true love. Full of humor, warmth, and newfound passion, the novel pokes fun at young people's fears of family expectations and the courage to be authenti

Mackenzie “Max” Miller lives a double life: she’s a rebellious singer with dyed hair, tattoos, and piercings in Philadelphia, far from her conservative Texas parents. But the idyll is shattered when her parents drop by unexpectedly to meet her “boyfriend,” and the real Mace, a tattooed rocker from the band, is absolutely not up to their standards. To save the day and hide her true self, Max must find a replacement. At a coffee shop, she spots the perfect candidate: Cade Winston, a golden-haired, perfect actor and MFA student who has just moved to the city to escape his past and pursue an acting career.

Frustrated by the lack of roles and unresolved issues from Texas, Cade agrees to a crazy offer: he’ll play her perfect boyfriend in exchange for a favor. The plan is simple – just a few days of fake idyll so that her parents leave happy. But reality quickly becomes complicated. Max, who pushes people away out of fear of vulnerability, and Cade, who is used to letting people go, must maintain a facade: shared meals, walks, fake kisses. The longer they act, the more the line between acting and reality blurs. Sparks fly, secrets come to light, and their pasts—Max's need for control, Cade's grief over loss—threaten to bring everything down.
