Goran Tribuson

"Slow Handover" provides an insight into the spirit of the times and the challenges faced by the generation in transition.

The novel “Slow Surrender” by Goran Tribuson was published in 1984 and is a generational novel that deals with themes such as youth, aging, and cultural change. The main character of the novel, Petar Gorjan, wants to live in a “musical time capsule”, listening to his rock idols and preserving the spirit of his generation’s 1968s. Tribuson is known for his works that often explore personal and generational identity and reconstruct the popular cultural mythology of the 1960s.
