Velesje : Putopis u stihovima

Velesje : Putopis u stihovima

Adnan Žetica

The poetic and travel writing of Velesja by Adnan Žetica is a depiction of the inner sensibility of a poet, storyteller, and essayist who, through his literary expression, often conducts a dialogue with himself, as well as with his reader.

In fact, it could be said that “Velesje” (along with all previous literary appearances) by Adnan Žetica is a continuous reexamination of unexplored challenges, which also reflects the experimental nature of the poetic journey that requires active participation (insight and sensitivity) of the reader. On the other hand, Žetica’s sober listening to the Podveležje region and life resulted in sharp, enigmatic records through the karst plateau of Podveležje. The energy of the poet-travel writer Adnan Žetica does not wane through the records, it is actualized anew by constructing new irrational and phantasmagoric possibilities of language. Through poetic-travel writings, we follow the vitalistic, unbreakable continuity of the idea of small, private stories versus the great stories of History.
