The story begins with Damir and Maja going to a birthday party. At the birthday party, the children talk about why birthdays are celebrated and how children are actually born. Many children think that storks carry children, and some even think that their parents find them under a large cabbage leaf in the garden. Damir and Maja know some things, but they still don't understand everything. That's why at home they ask their parents to explain everything about how children are created and how they come into the world.
