Original edition of Muzičke edicije Jugoton from Zagreb from the series "Notno izdanje". The publication brings a selection of popular compositions of domestic popular and festival music with musical notation, lyrics and harmonic markings (chords), intended for musicians, singers, music school students and fans of domestic musical heritage.

Notno izdanje no. 7 contains a total of 23 songs by prominent authors and composers who marked the Yugoslav music scene in the late 1960s and during the 1970s. Among the authors represented are Nikica Kalogjera, Đorđe Novković, Zdenko Špišić, Vinko Čaklec, Ivica Kelemen, Hrvoje Hegedušić, Vinko Sabolović, Dubravko Babić, Ante Dobrić, Mladen Balta and other prominent composers and songwriters of that period.

Among the songs in the collection are “Play the Flute”, “Don’t Breathe, Don’t Look, Don’t Ask”, “Balada o Rodnom Kraju”, “Dojdi Jurek”, “Kad nekog voliš”, “Margarita”, “Dugi su dani”, “Nema više ljubavi”, “Tvoja pisma duga”, “Ti koju znam”, “Kad ljubim”, “Plači ljubavi plači”, “Tebe volim”, “Idi sad bez pozdrava”, “Ti si moja radost”, “S tobom sam”, “Kad opada lisće”, “Pjesmo, jedini druže moj”, “Prićaj mi”, “Večeras pjevam za tvoje oči”, “Spali pisma stara”, “Rosemary” and “Ciribu, ciribu”.

Each composition features a melody line with corresponding lyrics and chords, which makes this publication a useful musical manual for performing, practicing and studying popular music of the time. The collection provides a representative overview of the repertoire published on Jugoton records and reflects the musical trends and festival production of the period in which it was created.

An interesting collector's item from the golden era of Jugoton and domestic pop music.
