The Manual for Ideological Work of Youth is intended for the political and ideological education of youth and provides guidelines for the work of youth organizations in the spirit of socialist, self-management and Marxist principles.

The manual for the ideological work of young people, published by the Association of Communist Youth of Croatia, is a manual intended for the political, ideological and organizational education of young people in socialist Croatia and Yugoslavia. The work was created to help activists of youth organizations, lecturers, leaders of political education and members of youth associations in their daily work with young people.

The content of the manual is aimed at interpreting the fundamental principles of Marxism, socialism and workers' self-management, and at introducing young people to the social, political and economic development of the socialist community. Special attention is paid to the role of youth in building society, the social responsibility of the individual, the development of the collective spirit and the participation of young people in political and public life.

The manual provides practical guidelines for organizing meetings, discussions, lectures and other forms of ideological and political work. In addition to theoretical explanations, it contains examples of topics for discussion, suggestions for working methods and recommendations for developing social engagement among young people. In this way, he connects political theory with concrete forms of action in youth organizations.

As a publication of the Croatian Communist Youth Union, the book reflects the official positions and educational goals of the Yugoslav socialist system. Today, it represents a valuable source for studying political culture, youth organizations, ideological education, and the social life of young people in the period of socialist Yugoslavia, and an interesting document of the history of political and social pedagogy in the second half of the 20th century.
