Fading Like A Flower (Every Time You Leave)

Fading Like A Flower (Every Time You Leave)

Roxette

The cult single "Fading Like A Flower" by pop-rock duo Roxette, released by EMI in 1991. One of the most beautiful ballads from the album "Joyride" brings a blend of emotion, powerful vocals and a timeless sound.

"Fading Like A Flower (Every Time You Leave)" is one of the biggest and most recognizable hits by Swedish pop-rock duo Roxette. Released in 1991 by EMI, the single was the second major hit from their hugely successful album "Joyride", and quickly climbed to the top of the world's music charts, including a high number two on the US Billboard Hot 100.

The song is a perfect example of a top pop-rock ballad from the early 1990s. Per Gessle's distinctive handwriting combined with Marie Fredriksson's powerful, emotional vocals create a song full of melancholy, dynamic guitar parts and a memorable chorus that remains an unavoidable radio classic to this day.

In addition to the title track, official EMI releases from this series (depending on the format and region) also bring accompanying tracks such as "I Remember You" and special mixes or acoustic versions, giving collectors a more complete insight into the band's creative phase from the beginning of the Joyride tour. This release perfectly encapsulates the golden age of the Swedish pop sound, a strong sense of nostalgia and superb production, making it a must-have for any Roxette fan and 90s music collector.
