Zagor LU #350: Hridine zla
Zagor races to save Chico and Guthrum’s Vikings from sacrifice to Fenrir, while Alrek’s vision warns that someone in the company will never return home.
Hridine zla (The Cliffs of Evil) concludes the pursuit of Starkad, the renegade whose crimes brought King Guthrum and his Vikings to Darkwood. Guthrum, his warriors and Chico have fallen into their enemy’s hands. Starkad intends to sacrifice them to Fenrir, the wolf deity of Norse legend.
Zagor must locate the raiders’ hideout and free his companions before the sacrifice takes place. But young Alrek brings a disturbing warning: he has seen a vision suggesting that someone among them will not return home. The rescue becomes a confrontation with a threat that cannot simply be measured in weapons or numbers.
Jacopo Rauch combines a tense rescue adventure with the darker imagery of Norse mythology. The prisoners’ familiar faces give the mission personal urgency, while the prophecy raises a troubling question: can determination alter an apparently foretold outcome? Zagor must act without knowing whether courage can overcome the warning.
Gianni Sedioli and Marco Verni illustrate the conclusion to the storyline begun in Sedam Vikinga and continued in Demoni magle. The final chapter brings betrayal, loyalty and the possible cost of resistance together in the struggle against Starkad.
