Zagor LU #157: Podzemlje New Orleansa

Podzemlje New Orleansa opens with Zagor and Chico arriving in the Mississippi port while pursuing Velasquez. Their enemy slips away, but the search soon takes another direction: they learn that their old friend, pirate Jean Lafitte, has been captured in Mexico and faces execution.

Reuniting with his daughter Denise connects their pursuit with preparations for a rescue. Friendship and personal loyalty give Zagor a compelling reason to continue, while smuggling operations and wider interests emerge behind events in the city’s underworld.

Moreno Burattini begins an extended adventure in which a waterfront crime plot gradually opens into an expedition towards the unknown. Familiar characters return, the pursuit gathers momentum, and Mexico promises further dangers and mysteries. New Orleans becomes the meeting point of several trails and the departure point for a new journey.
