Zagor LU #164: Razbojnici iz skrivene doline
In Iceland, Zagor follows Richter’s caravan towards a black lava desert, facing outlaws, threatened mutiny and the deadly contents of mysterious crates.
Razbojnici iz skrivene doline brings the northern adventure to Iceland, where several strands of the pursuit converge. King Guthrum’s Vikings cause a sensation in Reykjavík harbour, Felix ventures alone into the inhospitable interior, and Zagor follows Richter’s caravan from a distance.
The professor and his companions head towards Ódáðahraun, a desert of black lava. Fear of the outlaws hiding in the region breeds discontent and threatens mutiny. Yet the greatest anxiety surrounds the mysterious crates accompanying Richter. The expedition carries a danger of its own, beyond the hazards of the landscape and the people concealed within it.
Mauro Boselli combines pursuit, exploration and adventure fantasy. Iceland’s long summer days help Zagor keep track of his quarry without dispelling the uncertainty of unfamiliar territory. Distrust within the caravan and the secret of its deadly cargo increase the suspense as the storyline approaches its conclusion.
Raffaele Della Monica illustrates the volcanic wilderness, travellers and Viking company. This is the third instalment of the four-part adventure begun in Posljednja Thula. The conclusion follows in Ludens #165, Tron bogova.
