Zagor LU #264: Ognjena zemlja
Zagor finally catches up with Dexter Green in Punta Arenas, but a prison escape and the seizure of the Marilena interrupt his pursuit at the southern tip of the Americas.
Ognjena zemlja brings Zagor and Chico to Punta Arenas, a port on the Strait of Magellan. Their long journey south approaches a crucial objective: confronting Dexter Green, the archaeologist whose betrayal has driven the pursuit across South America.
The encounter does not provide the expected resolution. Dangerous prisoners escape from a nearby penitentiary under construction and seize the Marilena, the vessel that brought Zagor and his companions to the port. A personal pursuit gives way to an immediate threat to the entire group.
Burattini combines a manhunt, a prison breakout and maritime adventure. The remote harbour becomes a crossroads of competing interests, while the ship changes from a means of transport into a vital resource for survival. Suspense comes from a sudden reversal: just as an established goal appears within reach, a new emergency demands attention.
Giuseppe Prisco’s artwork gives weight to the harbour setting, shipboard spaces and physical action. The distance from Darkwood reinforces the uncertainty of travelling into unfamiliar territory.
This is the opening chapter of the trilogy spanning Ludens #264–266, followed by Preko granice svijeta and Bitka za život.
