A collection of diary entries, feuilletons and articles by Vladimir Rem dedicated to Tin Ujević. Rem writes in this book out of his personal fascination with Tin – his life, artistic path, bohemian habits, internal struggles and social influence.
Composed through thoughtful diary excerpts, feuilletons and critical reflections, the book depicts Tin's intimate world, but also the context of the Croatian literary and cultural environment of the first half of the 20th century. Through feuilletons, Rem not only interprets Ujević's poems and sensibility, but also reconstructs encounters, conversations and events from the bohemian milieu.
The author considers Tin's relationship with time, space and his own identity - especially the weight of his melancholy, travels and search for meaning in a chaotic society.
