Zagor LU #73: Metak za Kelsa
Zagor and Bob confront Kelso as his crimes threaten war with the Creek. A former soldier’s testimony reveals the past of a man driven by hatred and revenge.
Metak za Kelsa concludes an adventure in which a series of crimes threatens to provoke war against the Creek. Zagor and his friend Bob confront Kelso, a violent adversary whose history gradually emerges. Blevins, a former soldier who became a priest, provides testimony that helps explain the man they face.
Maurizio Colombo constructs a dark action Western about racial hatred and revenge. Violence serves more than robbery or private feuds: it creates fear and directs hostility towards an entire people. Zagor must therefore stop the perpetrators while preventing their victims from becoming a pretext for further bloodshed.
Kelso’s military background connects the present crimes with earlier choices and their consequences. The search for truth and the confrontation with fanaticism give the story weight beyond the pursuit itself. Responsibility remains individual: belonging to an army or a people cannot replace scrutiny of a person’s actions.
Maurizio Dotti illustrates the tense encounters and confrontations, sustaining the momentum of the concluding chapter. The adventure began in Istrebljivači, so readers need regular Ludens issues 72 and 73 for the complete narrative. This issue brings the conflict to its resolution without beginning another story.
