"Stories from the Past" (1916) contains the stories: Sunce Djever and Neva Nevičica, Bratac Jaglenac and little sister Rutvica, Šuma Striborova, How Potjeh searched for the truth, Fisherman Polunko and his wife, Lutonjica Toporko and nine župančići, Jagor
The story of the three beans was written by Eva Zokševa in the collection "Narodne praljivca iz Prekomurje", while the Istrian story Little Shepherd was written by J. Benigar, and was published in "Slovenski glasnik" in 1866.
The story was published by Mijat Stojanović in his book Folk Tales and Poems, published in 1867. Along with it, Stojanović noted: "In Samac from the merchant Marko from Kobaš, grad. krajina year 1835."
The book is part of Disney's tradition of creating entertaining and educational stories for children, with an emphasis on colorful illustrations and charming characters that appeal to readers of all ages.
