The exhibition covers the period from the pre-Romanesque to the Baroque and contains works of art of various types, including goldsmithing, textiles, painting and sculpture. Among the exhibits, the most notable are reliquaries from the 7th century, lace and red textiles embroidered with gold threads, the reliquaries of St. Aaron and St. James from the 9th century, and dozens of reliquaries in the shape of hands encrusted with precious stones, the oldest from the 12th century.

In the monograph, Petricioli provides an introductory overview of artistic movements in Zadar from the pre-Romanesque to the Baroque, and then catalogs the works of art according to their types: goldsmithing, textiles, painting and sculpture.
