Zagor LU #141: Prijetnja iz svemira
Zagor faces an alien armed with advanced weapons, but the danger in Darkwood is not entirely extraterrestrial: human enemies also want him dead.
Prijetnja iz svemira concludes the adventure begun when an unidentified object crashed into Darkwood. An extraterrestrial creature has already killed, and Zagor must stop it before more lives are lost. Its technological superiority makes a direct confrontation dangerously unequal.
His axe and wilderness experience are pitted against weapons from distant space. Resourcefulness, caution and knowledge of the terrain become as important as physical courage. Yet while confronting this unfamiliar threat, Zagor must also remain alert to people determined to kill him.
Moreno Burattini combines science fiction with an adventure thriller built around danger on two fronts. Concentrating on a more powerful opponent may leave the hero vulnerable to an attack from another direction. Advanced technology and human malice present different but equally serious obstacles.
Alessandro Chiarolla brings together the forest setting, strange technology and action sequences. The contrast between Darkwood’s familiar landscape and the visitor’s equipment gives the conflict its distinctive visual character. This issue completes a two-part storyline and is best read after Ludens #140, Vatra s neba.
