The publication brings a selection of popular compositions of domestic popular, festival and folk music with musical notation, lyrics and harmonic markings (chords), intended for musicians, singers, music school students and music lovers.

Notna knjižica 5 contains a total of 26 songs by famous authors and composers who marked the domestic music scene in the 1960s and 1970s. Authors such as Đorđe Novković, Kemal Monten, Stjepan Mihaljinac, Alfij Kabilj, Zdenko Špišić, Vinko Čaklec, Ranko Butina, Josip Penava and other prominent composers and songwriters of that period are represented.

Among the songs in the collection are “Because of a wonderful black woman”, “Anuška is sad”, “Don't cry, mother”, “You will come”, “Everyone will find a way”, “Zagreb, my Zagreb”, “Little girl”, “You are mine, I am yours”, “Memory”, “On the sea of my love”, “Stay with me”, “Forbidden world”, “The first and last evening”, “I cry, you cry”, “First love”, “Was our love sad”, “Sadness, my sadness”, “Long ago already”, “Once upon a time there was a time when I lived and died”, “Melita”, “My little one”, “Living for you”, “If you stay”, “Kajkavian Serenade”, “I was building a home” and “Hey lolo my, black gypsy”.

Each composition brings a melody line with lyrics and chords, which makes this publication a useful musical manual, but also an interesting document of the time. The collection provides a cross-section of musical trends and the most performed songs of its time and represents a valuable source for studying the history of domestic popular music.

In addition to its musical and documentary value, the booklet is an interesting collector's item among fans of Jugoton releases, old discographies and music memorabilia. It is sought after by collectors due to its authenticity, representative selection of songs and the importance of the authors represented in the edition.

An interesting collector's item from the golden period of Jugoton and domestic popular music.
