Zagor LU #115: Krvna žrtva

In Krvna žrtva, Kandrax’s threat takes the form of a ritual Zagor must stop before it is too late. Régine Jamieson and abducted enslaved women await sacrifice at the Temple of the Great Stones on an island in the swamp. Their rescuers should be working together, but instead turn against one another. Conflict among potential allies strengthens the druid’s position.

Zagor faces a danger that strength and fighting skill alone cannot overcome. He must reach the captives and interrupt the ceremony while mistrust and violence obstruct the rescue. If Kandrax succeeds, the consequences will extend beyond the intended victims to Zagor’s friends.

Mauro Boselli combines adventure with occult horror, building suspense through the swamp setting, the threat of human sacrifice and the breakdown of trust. Kandrax is particularly dangerous because his power undermines people’s ability to unite against him.

Gallieno Ferri provides both the artwork and the cover for this dark chapter of the saga. The issue directly continues Ludens #114, Povratak Kandraxa. That storyline concludes in the opening section of #116, Junaci Crvene grane, before the wider adventure enters its next phase.
