In Sjene nad „Golden Baby”, disturbing events in Darkwood signal a danger rooted in the past. The resting place of the witch Dharma and her followers is desecrated, venomous snakes attack the swamp cabin, and monstrous figures appear aboard the Golden Baby. Then Ramath, the fakir, mysteriously disappears.

Zagor and Chico face a threat connecting their woodland companions with their seafaring friends. Captain Fishleg and his colourful crew play an important part in an adventure that turns the search for a missing companion into a tale of occult horror. Before the heroes can confront their enemy, they must discover how these ominous events fit together.

Jacopo Rauch develops the mystery through converging incidents, while Gianni Sedioli and Marco Verni give the unfolding menace a suitably unsettling visual presence. Familiar friendships and moments of humour balance the darker atmosphere, making the crew’s involvement central to the adventure’s appeal.
