Priča o galebu i mačku koji ga je naučio letjeti

Priča o galebu i mačku koji ga je naučio letjeti

Luis Sepulveda

The author promised his children to write a book about how people destroy their environment, how they hurt nature, and even themselves.

Thus was born this story about the adventures of Zorba, a “big, black and fat” cat who, out of his sense of honor, promises to take care of a seagull bird that has been hit by an oil slick at sea, the black plague. Before she dies, she leaves Zorba an egg that she has just laid. Zorba, a cat of his word, will keep his promises: not only will he take care of the bird, but he will also, with the help of his friends the harbor cats, teach it to fly. This noble and brilliantly written book about a self-sacrificing, sluggish, but also self-sacrificing cat belongs to the so-called eternal books for readers of all ages. It is therefore not surprising that it has gone through a large number of editions and been translated into many languages.
