Lajos Zilahy
Madžarski književnik (Nagyszalonta, 27. III. 1891 – Novi Sad, 1. XII. 1974), diplomirao je pravo, radio kao odvjetnik; od početka 1920-ih potpuno se posvetio književnosti. Od 1947. živio u SAD-u, a od početka 1970-ih do smrti u Jugoslaviji. Njegovi romani, u kojima povezuje romantičnu fabulu s realističnom pripovjednom tradicijom i blagom društvenom kritikom, postali su popularni širom svijeta. Najpoznatiji su: Samrtno proljeće (Halálos tavasz, 1922), Dva zarobljenika (Két fogoly, 1926), Osveta oružja (A fegyverek visszanéznek, 1936), Dukayevi (A Dukay család, 1968).
