Jane Eyre

Jane Eyre

Charlotte Bronte

Recognized as a masterpiece immediately after its publication (1847), Charlotte Brontë's novel Jane Eyre is an extraordinary story about one of the most independent and independent heroines in world literature.

Poor and physically not very attractive, Jane Eyre begins life as a lonely orphan in the house of an aunt who hates her. When she grows up, she becomes a governess at Thornfield Hall, where she falls in love with her employer, the Byronically dark and passionate Mr. Rochester, who falls madly in love with Jane because of her simplicity, openness and intellectual curiosity.
